Been waiting 6 years for this...

Hopefully later this year we'll be getting our hands on the next Battlefield installment, Battlefield 3. This CoD crushing FPS promises to deliver state-of-the-art graphics and top level gameplay. It's the direct sequel to one of my favorite games of all time.

While I don't get real excited for graphics, (I go for gameplay and performance so my settings are usually pretty low) I expect it to be similar to Modern Warfare 2 in terms of atmosphere and effects. The combat looks amazing. Infantry warfare is definitely fun in a first person shooter but nothing beats the huge maps, large teams, and vehicle combat. Team play is way more emphasized in such large scale battles as opposed to just running in solo and potentially winning the game because you have amazing twitch like in CoD. One of my favorite things about BF3 is that they are bringing back a bunch of the old maps, most notably Karkand.

Most fps nowadays incorporate the older, popular maps, but Battlefield 2 had some of the best maps ever made. Battlefield 3 is definitely my most anticipated game of 2011. If you're not sold watch the gameplay trailer or any of the other trailers, the theme song alone pumps me up.

Strangely Awesome Game

In between classes I decided to play some flash games and stumbled across this thing.
I wasn't really sure what to think. Basically the story is you are the "I" of "It" and one day the "t" went away. So now you are on a quest to find him. It's a pretty short game with simple controls and relatively boring gameplay. But what's entertaining is the audio. An almost Microsoft Sam voice narrates everything you do. Maybe I'm slightly retarded but the randomness of it (no pun intended) made me laugh. It's tough to describe but I recommend playing it if you have a few minutes and need a good chuckle.

In other news, nasty new track featuring Skrillex.

Skrillex

So I'm pretty much a huge dubstep fan and one of my favorite artists is Skrillex. Most people think all dubstep has the same generic sound and if you're listening to bad dubstep thats pretty true. But real dubstep has very different, original sounds. Skrillex is definitely one of the best out there and the best part is he doesn't do just dubstep. He makes a lot of electro, house tracks. Give him a listen, this is his new electro track and it's sick.

Let's Get Started...

Hey everyone and welcome! So I finally decided to join the rest of the world and start my own blog. The plan is to post every day or two about anything interesting going on in the world of Dave. Could be about a new flash game I'm playing or even how badly the Bruins are pummeling Philly. Look for my first real post sometime tomorrow! Thanks guys, be sure to comment/follow!
